ATLANTA - North Georgia and metro Atlanta residents are gearing up to be hit with some serious inclement weather this weekend – snow and ice included. One grocery retailer is urging people not to "panic buy."

"First and foremost, we would like to reassure area residents that there is no need to 'panic-buy,' a spokesperson from Kroger said. "Kroger has already put our emergency preparedness plan into play and our teams are replenishing supplies as quickly as possible."
Supplies like water, bread, milk, ice and fuel will be replenished in each store "as quickly as possible," according to the spokesperson.

On the chance that Gov. Kemp later issues a state of emergency, Kroger pharmacists will be allowed to fill most non-addictive prescriptions, even if they’re not eligible for refills yet.
"Customers should purchase only what they need to ensure everyone has adequate access to supplies," the spokesperson continued.
