Blood drive to honor fallen Henry County Police officer

HENRY COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Dozens of people turned out today for a blood drive in honor of fallen Henry County officer, Michael Smith.

The drive took place in the police department's training room.

Smith died last month after being shot in while responding to a call at a dentist's office in December.

The Red Cross said it is important to donate blood throughout the year.
