Atlanta police have released new body camera footage showing the arrest of a driver suspected of firing shots during a road rage incident at the Atlanta airport.
ATLANTA - Atlanta police have shared new footage of the aftermath of a road rage situation that caused chaos at the Atlanta airport.
Officials say the situation on Dec. 11 ended with one man injured and another in custody.
According to police, the shooting happened just before 2 p.m. at the lower level of Hartfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport's south terminal.
The victim told responding officers that he had dropped a client off at the terminal and was trying to leave when another driver "became irate." The victim said the driver sideswiped his car, fired multiple gunshots at him, and then sped away.
Thankfully, the victim only suffered minor injuries and damage to his car.

Half an hour after the shooting, police pulled over the suspected shooter and a passenger on the 4200 block of Moreland Avenue SE, about 10 miles from the scene. The officers' body cameras caught the moment they made the arrest.
"Open the door. Lying down on the car facing away from me - facing away. Keep your hands up," the officer is heard telling the passenger.

The driver, identified as 39-year-old Eric Freeman, is now facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, reckless conduct, and discharging firearms near a highway.
