1 killed, 3 injured in multi-car crash on I-85
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - Police are investigating a deadly crash involving multiple vehicles on Interstate 85 in DeKalb County.
The crash happened around 3:40 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the interstate between Shallowford Road and Chamblee Tucker Road.
What we know:
FOX 5 cameras spotted at least four cars involved in the crash - one of which was hanging off the right edge of the interstate.
Police say they were originally called to the scene after reports of a pedestrian hit on the interstate. It is unclear if there actually was a pedestrian involved at this time.
According to officials, one person was killed in the crash. Three others were injured.
What we don't know:
Authorities have not released the names of the victims or the conditions of the injured drivers and passengers involved in the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
