Suspect in custody after deadly shooting at Cobb County apartments

Cobb County police have made an arrest in the deadly shooting of a man at a Marietta apartment complex.

The deadly shooting happened sometime before 12:45 a.m. on Thursday at the Cobblestone Apartments on the 300 block of Pat Mell Road.

What we know:

Authorities with the Cobb County Police Department say officers responded to the complex after receiving reports of a person shot.

At the scene, they found a man who had been shot multiple times.

Medics rushed the man to a local hospital, but he was not able to survive his injuries.

On Thursday afternoon, officials identified the victim as 44-year-old Marietta resident Dequelle Williamson.

Later that day, investigators named 33-year-old Tonolono O. Price as a suspect in the shooting. He is now in custody facing charges of malice murder and aggravated assault. 

What we don't know:

Investigators have not released information about what led up to the deadly violence.
