Former judge accused of lessening charges in exchange for sexual favors
HART COUNTY, Ga. - A former Hart County judge is accused of dropping or reducing charges in exchange for sexual favors.
Bobby Joe Smith, 77, was charged with bribery and civil rights violations.
According to the indictment, Smith met with three women regarding their DUI charges or traffic violations.
He was accused of reducing or dismissing charges for all three, after engaging in sexual behavior with them.
All three women said they did not consent to the sexual advances.
