Gainesville woman arrested for arson
HALL COUNTY, Ga. - A Gainesville woman is in police custody and faces charges for arson and falsely reporting a stolen vehicle.
According to the Hall County Fire Marshal's Office, a driver on the way to work on June 16 around 5:44 a.m. called 911 to report a car fire near the railroad tracks at 791 Georgia Avenue.
Officials said the 2006 Dodge Durango was reported stolen around 1 p.m. on the same day.
Gainesville Police Detectives and Hall County Fire Services investigators, arrested Zekela Antionette Jenkins for arson in the second degree along with false report of a stolen vehicle.
