Gwinnett County man charged with armed robbery of Buford business

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - Gwinnett County police have arrested a man accused of an armed robbery at a Buford business.
Samuel Norman is charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
What we know:
Investigators say on Jan. 27, officers were called to a business of the 2600 block of Buford Drive.
The victim told police that a man approached the counter, pulled out a gun, and demanded the cash from the register.
After taking the money, the man fled the scene on foot.
On Tuesday, detectives say they identified a suspect and canvassed the area to try to obtain additional leads. While on the canvas, officers reportedly saw Norman leaving a home in the area and recognized him as their suspect.
Norman is now in custody at the Gwinnett County Jail.
