Jackson County firefighters investigate fatal fire

JACKSON COUNTY, Ga. - Jackson County Fire officials are investigating a fatal house fire which happened early Monday morning.

It happened on Fuller Road just before 8 a.m.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office said they found human remains inside the burned house. Investigators said the body was sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s crime lab to be identified and for an autopsy.

State fire officials are assisting location fire investors to determine the cause of the fatal fire.
