Since 1981, the White House Christmas Ornament has been an annual tradition, with each year's design honoring a different U.S. president. This year’s edition stands out as a tribute to Carter’s contributions, both as a leader and a humanitarian.

Carter celebrated his 100th birthday on Oct. 1. He is now the longest living U.S. president. He has been in hospice care since February 2023.
