Man in custody after fleeing Peachtree City traffic stop, police say

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. - A man accused of fleeing from a traffic stop is in custody after officials say he was caught in Peachtree City.
On Wednesday night, the Peachtree City Police Department posted an alert on Facebook for residents to be on the lookout for a man who ran off from a traffic stop near Highway 74.
Authorities described the person they were looking for as a man with short hair and facial hair who was wearing a gray hoodie and dark shorts.
Using K-9s, drones and patrol officers, they were able to track the man down and apprehend him without incident near Santolina Park.
"Starting off 2025 strong," the Peachtree City Police Department wrote on Facebook.
Officials have not released the man's identity or what charges he may be facing.
