Man found dead in Marietta car wash, police searching for his killer

MARIETTA, Ga. - Officers are investigating the shooting of a man found dead in the middle of a Cobb County car wash.
Officials say Cobb County 911 operators received a call just after 8 p.m. on Monday about a man lying on the ground in the middle of a car wash bay on the 1200 block of Bellemeade Drive.
The caller told the operator that the man was not moving and may need medical attention.
When officers got to the business, they learned the man had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators have now identified him as 59-year-old Marietta resident Daniel Lanard Richardson Jr.
Investigators are now working to determine what led up to Richardson's death and are asking the public for help identifying the person or people responsible.
