Missing Covington man found safe in South Carolina
COVINGTON, Ga. - A 77-year-old Covington man, who disappeared on Friday, has been found safe in Dillon, South Carolina.
The Newton County Sheriff's Office issued a Mattie's Alert Saturday for Donald Cook, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and was believed to be traveling in a PT Cruiser.
Authorities say Cook has been located and is now with the Dillon South Carolina Sheriff's Office as he awaits his family's arrival.
