North Druid Hills Road closes for repairs
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - Repair work is set to impact a section of North Druid Hills Road, as announced by the DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management. The affected area spans between Spring Creek Road and Willivee Drive. The project is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, January 15, at 7 p.m. and will continue overnight until 5 a.m., with an expected completion date of Friday, January 17. During this time, lane closures will be implemented to facilitate the repair process.
What we know:
According to the Department of Watershed Management, "The work underway at North Druid Hills is not related to the Clairmont Road water main break. There is not a water main break at North Druid Hills. Instead, this is unrelated water main work that was pre-scheduled in partnership with Georgia Power. There will be no interruption in water service or water power related to this work."
Engineers and construction crews are committed to minimizing the impact on local residents and business owners. To assist motorists, lane closure and detour signs will be strategically placed to inform them of the ongoing construction and any local traffic restrictions. Residents and business owners in the vicinity are encouraged to stay informed about the progress of the repairs and adjust their schedules as needed to accommodate the temporary disruptions.
