Package thief caught on camera in Fulton County

A package thief was caught on camera in the act and one homeowner is warning that it wasn’t just her that was hit as she tries to find the man in the video.

It happens every year, someone gets a package delivered, but before the person ever gets home, It’s gone.

It happened Monday in a Fulton County neighborhood. A man can be seen on home surveillance video hopping out of a car and casually making his way to the front door. He’s out of the camera’s view for just a second and then he re-appears. This time holding a package that doesn’t belong to him.

“It’s very disheartening. It’s very because someone is ordering something and it’s a shame everybody is on edge,” said the homeowner.

That package that man walked off with belongs to Tracy. It was a Christmas gift for her boss. Tracy said Monday at 9:25 a.m., the postal service delivered the package, but Tracy was at work.

“A couple of hours later, I randomly went back and viewed my cameras and noticed this red vehicle circling around the street. Two minutes later, I saw him again,” said Tracy.

Tracy said she’s heard of package thieves, but this is the first time it’s happened to her and she has one message for the man in the video.

“It’s got to stop. You will be caught. There is someone watching, there is a camera somewhere, so that’s my advice stop,” said Tracy.

One of Tracy’s neighbors also had a package stolen.

Fulton County Police said those are the only two package theft cases they’re currently working.

Anyone who recognize the man in the video or the car should contact the Fulton County Police Department.
