Police: Gunman robbed donut shop at gunpoint

ATLANTA - Police are investigating after a man with a gun robbed a donut shop in southeast Atlanta.

It happened at around 2 a.m. at Happy Donuts on Flat Shoals Avenue. Police said the man walked in with a rifle, jumped over the counter and demanded money.

Investigators say he took $50 and then drove away in a small SUV.

Police were reviewing surveillance video to try and get a better description of the suspect.
