Police: Man shot dead at apartment complex

SCOTTDALE, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - DeKalb County Police are looking for a gunman who killed a man in a Scottdale apartment complex.

The shooting happened around 7 p.m. Wednesday night at the Oak Forest Apartments in the 300 block of Hatton Drive. Arriving officers found the victim on the ground, suffering from at least one gunshot wound.  Paramedics rushed the man to the hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.

It's not known yet if the man who died lived in the complex, or if he was just visiting. His identity has not been released. 

Detectives aren't saying much yet about the case, including if they have a possible motive for the killing or if any witnesses were able to give them a good suspect description.
