FULTON COUNTY, Ga. - Rapper YFN Lucci has been released from the Fulton County Jail a little more than a year after pleading guilty to a charge as part of a Fulton County investigation into gang activity.
A spokesperson for the Georgia Department of Corrections has confirmed with FOX 5 that the rapper, whose given name is Rayshawn Bennett, is "no longer in GDC custody."

The backstory:
The rapper was arrested in 2021 as part of a wide-ranging indictment of 12 people officials claim are associated with subgroups of the Bloods gang.
In the 105-count indictment, which stemmed from a six-month investigation, investigators say Lucci and others committed a wide variety of crimes to protect and enhance the gang’s reputation and to gain and maintain control of territory. Bennett has been charged with murder after police said he was the driver in a gang-related drive-by shooting that killed a man.
In January 2024, Bennett pleaded guilty to one count of violation of Georgia's Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act. As part of his plea deal, prosecutors dropped the remaining 12 of 13 counts.

As part of the plea deal, Bennett was sentenced to 20 years with 10 in prison and credit for time served.
The state agreed not to object to Bennett's attempts to receive parole.
What they're saying:
In a statement released by his attorney Drew Findling, Marissa Goldberg, Gabe Banks, and Pat Dixon, they shared: "Rayshawn Bennett, widely known as YFN Lucci, was granted early release on parole and walked out of prison this morning to dozens of waiting friends and family. He is overjoyed to reunite with his children, his family, and his music. He will waste no time releasing new music and getting back on stage to perform for his fans."
"I’ve learned a lot during my time away," YFN Lucci shared in his official statement. "I’m incredibly grateful for my family and friends—who have stood by me the whole time. Now, it’s my turn to give back. I want to use my voice, my platform, and my music to inspire those who look up to me. I want to show people it’s never too late to make a change. For me, this time is about growth, redemption, and purpose. I’m excited—there’s so much more to come."
Girvan "Fly" Henry, CEO of Think It’s A Game Records, issued the following statement:
"We are beyond thrilled to welcome YFN Lucci back home. What's next:
According to the court agreement obtained by FOX 5, Bennett will remain on parole through Jan. 13, 2031.
As part of his agreement, Bennett will be required to work and be drug tested. He also can not have any contact with the other defendants involved in the 2021 indictment or any member or associate of a criminal street gang.
Bennet will not be allowed to own or carry a weapon and will not be able to leave Georgia without permission.
The plan states that the rapper will be staying at his mother's home during his time on parole.
