1 killed, 6 injured in shooting on Macon's Triple Hill Drive

Deputies in Bibb County are investigating a shooting that killed one man and sent six others to local hospitals early Thursday morning.

Officials say they received a 911 call about the shooting on the 1000 block of Triple Hlll Drive shortly after 1 a.m.

When deputies got to the scene, they found three people suffering from gunshot wounds. Medics rushed the three victims to Atrium Navicent Health.

While investigating, officials learned that three other victims had been taken to Atrium Navicent Health by personal vehicle, and a seventh victim was taken to Piedmont Healthcare.

Hours later, officials said one of the victims, identified as 34-year-old Jawasiki Deuventa Guyton, had died due to his injuries. One 18-year-old remains in critical condition.

Investigators are now working to learn what led up to the deadly shooting.
