Police investigating shooting inside Stone Mountain motel room
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - Police are working to find out what led to a shooting inside a motel room in DeKalb County.
Officers were called to the Budgetel Inn & Suites on the 5000 block of Memorial Drive in Stone Mountain just after midnight on Tuesday.
At the scene, officers found the victim with a gunshot wound inside one of the motel's rooms.
Medics rushed the victim to Grady Memorial Hospital. Their condition at this time is unknown.
Details about the investigation remain scarce. Investigators have not shared the identity of the victim or what they believe happened before the shooting.
