ATLANTA - Six Flags Over Georgia is coming back this spring with a new thrill ride that's going to make a splash with guests.
The Georgia Gold Rusher combines high speeds with a free-spinning gondola seating and dynamic water features.

What we know:
The ride was previously announced as the Georgia Surfer in 2024 before the change in theme.
Park officials say that the new teeming will pay homage to the state's 1885 gold rush history and introduce a new character, the eccentric prospector William "Willy" Gibson.
The ride, which is located in the Lickskillet section of the park, will feature themed elements like a mining sled and mine cart.
"Georgia Gold Rusher hearkens back to a nostalgic era of our park, where thematic storytelling was at the forefront of everything we did," said General Manager Greg Fuller. "This revolutionary attraction and the investments made throughout the park will help enhance our guest experience around every turn."
The ride features 590 feet of U-shaped track and multiple high-speed launches that will have guests experiencing speeds of up to 60 miles per hour.
What you can do:
Officials say the ride will be running when Six Flags Over Georgia opens in the spring.
The park's Silver Passes are on sale for $49 and include unlimited visits, free parking, food and merchandise discounts, and access to Hurricane Harbor Atlanta.
