Gwinnett County detectives have arrested a suspect in the deadly stabbing of a woman in an apartment just outside of Norcross.

At around 6 p.m. on Friday, officers were called to an apartment building on the 1200 block of Hunters Club Lane. When they got to the scene, investigators found the body of Ana Karen Ramos Hernandez. She had been stabbed at least once, police said.

"She was beyond any assistance once officers arrived on the scene," Cpl. Juan Madiedo told FOX 5 on Friday.

Days later, investigators said they identified 26-year-old Kurt Sebastian Omana Torres as a suspect in the case and issued arrest warrants charging him with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a felony.

Shortly before 2 p.m., officials said they had taken Torres into custody without incident. He will be transported to the Gwinnett County Jail later on Monday.

A cash reward is available for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in this case.
