Suspect steals vehicle with woman sleeping inside
ATLANTA - Atlanta police are searching for a man who stole a vehicle with a woman sleeping in the backseat.
It happened early Tuesday morning at the Chevron gas station on Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway in Atlanta.
Police say the driver of the vehicle left the car running as he went inside the gas station to purchase cigarettes. While inside the store, someone reportedly got in the car and drove off with the man’s 34-year-old girlfriend asleep in the backseat.
The woman awoke a short time later and the suspect ordered her to exit the vehicle at gunpoint. The woman, scared and shaken, got a ride to her friend’s house in Marietta.
Police later located the vehicle on Hollywood Road.
Police do not have any suspects in custody at this time.
