Clayton State shooting leaves 2 dead, police searching for gunman
CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. - Clayton County police are searching for a gunman after a shooting that killed two young adults near Clayton State University on Wednesday night.
The shooting happened around 9 p.m. on Trammell Road by the east fence wall of the university.

What we know:
Police tell FOX 5 that the incident began when an argument broke out between four young men who were walking on the road together. Surveillance cameras spotted on surveillance video from businesses talking together, when a dispute started and guns were pulled.
According to investigators, at least one person in the group pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots.
"We do believe there was more than one weapon involved," Clayton County Police Major Anthony Thurman said.
Two of the people were hit. Officers say they found one of the victims in the road and the other on the sidewalk.
Eighteen-year-old Caden Moss and 20-year-old Jerome Franklin died from their wounds on the scene. The other two fled the location near the east gate of Clayton State University.

What we don't know:
University officials do not believe they were students at Clayton State.
Investigators have also not released the name of the suspected gunman or the fourth person associated with the group.
The motive behind the shooting is also unclear.

Clayton County police commented on a shooting that left two young men dead.
"It's just tragic. Unfortunately, having done this for a long time, it's tragic anytime a family loses a family member. To see two young men murdered this early in the year, our hearts go out to the families," Major Thurman said.
These were the first two murders of the year for Clayton County. They had 26 in total last year.
