Three arrested after shootout at apartment complex

Three people are now in custody after an argument turned into a shootout at a Vinings apartment complex.

Cobb County Police said around 20 to 30 shots were fired when a group of at least six people started arguing at an apartment complex. 

The shooting happened at the West Haven apartments and also caused at least four cars to be damaged. 

One man was shot and then the victims and and the suspects went into three separate cars. 

"Three of the vehicles ended up leaving with the victims and the suspect in the vehicle. There was one male who remained on scene. He was detained and is being questioned at this time." Cobb County Police spokesperson Officer Sarah O'Hara said. 

Police said the cars caused damage while they were leaving the apartment complex and one car ended up hitting two other parked cars in the area. 

No innocent bystanders were hurt, according to authorities. 

Police said the one person hit by a bullet is at the hospital recovering and is expected to be OK. 

Police say all three men are from Miami, Florida.
