TSA: Guns at Airport Checkpoints on the Rise in Atlanta
ATLANTA - The number of weapons found at Atlanta's Hartsfield Jackson International Airport keeps growing.
Transportation Security Administration officials have discovered 114 firearms at security checkpoints so far this year compared to a total of 109 for all of last year.
Atlanta’s airport leads the nation in the number of guns found.
Officials remind travelers with guns, that it must be unloaded, and secured in a hard case in the checked luggage. It also must be declared to the airline.
