Man arrested hours after deadly stabbing in north Georgia, deputies say
WHITFIELD COUNTY, Ga. - A man accused of the deadly stabbing of a woman in Whitfield County is in custody after hours on the run, deputies say.
What we know:
The Whitfield County Sheriff's Office said that deputies responded to a call on Richardson Road late Monday night and found a woman who had been stabbed at least once. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
After gathering evidence at the scene, officials say they identified Brian Moree as the main suspect in the woman's death.
Four hours later, investigators caught Moree in the woods near Polly Road.
Moree is now in custody at the Whitfield County Jail on a murder charge.

Authorities have not released the identity of the victim or what led up to the violence that took her life.
