Friday Night Heights - NW metro and beyond!
MARIETTA, Ga. - Friday Night Heights takes the chopper to northwest metro and beyond. HIGH 5’s Cody Chaffins strapped in and took off.
His first stop was Canton where the Sequoyah Chiefs were hosting the Sprayberry Yellow Jackets. What a great AAAAAA Region 6 rivalry.
This is pretty much a playoff game for them because if they win, they are in the playoffs, but if they lose they're at home next week.
Sprayberry's London Roberson keeper 22-yard pick up will lead to a touchdown to make it 7-0 Yellowjackets.
But here comes Sequoyah. Timothy Pittman gets inside the 10-yard line for Sequoyah. That would set up a touchdown, Zach Stark 5-yard touchdown to tie the game.
Sequoyah eventually pulls out ahead. Final score 17-14 Sequoyah. They will go on to battle Dacula in the playoffs.
And then it was on to Marietta as the Wheeler Wildcats closed out their season hosting the Pebblebrook Falcons in AAAAAAA Region 2 action. The two teams battled for some playoff seating.
Gabe Magerkurth throws one in to make it 7-0 Wheeler. And the kept the momentum going. Wheeler beat out Pebblebrook 35-13.
Wheeler is going to go to Cherokee while Pebblebrook gets the number four seed. This is why Wheeler wanted to win. Pebblebrook faces off against Roswell.
