Mom says suspect had 'mental instability'
Minyone Patterson, the mother of Deion Patterson -- the suspected shooter who opened fire at Northside Hospital in Midtown Wednesday -- said he had 'some mental instability going on'' from some medication he had gotten from the Veterans' Affairs Health System. She said her son wanted to be on a medication for anxiety and depression, but the VA would not give it to him because it would be 'too addicting.'
