Former First Lady Carter dementia diagnosis
Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter has been diagnosed with dementia. The Carter Center made the announcement Tuesday. The news comes just months after the Carter family disclosed her husband, former President Jimmy Carter, had entered hospice care at their home in Plains. Experts who specialize in treating patients with dementia say people with the ailment can still live productive lives.
