Weather changes ahead: cold yes, snow no

As we say so long to a really mild and wet February, March will bring us some winter temperatures.

Right now, it looks like the moisture will be long gone before freezing temperatures arrive next week.

A big shift in the upper-level winds will drive down sub-freezing temps early next week.

Prior to that, the zonal flow (west to east) will allow for mild to warm temps into the weekend.

Both long-range models latest runs point to wet weather this weekend, with the GFS spitting out a brief wintry mix over northwest Georgia on Monday morning.

The EURO keeps it all rain and ending much earlier Sunday night.

Sub-freezing temperatures are projected by both models by Tuesday morning, but as stated, no moisture to be found.
