Groundbreaking for new Monday Night Brewing facility

ATLANTA - It was an exciting day for Atlanta beer lovers. City officials broke ground on a brand new Monday Night Brewing facility Tuesday.

The ceremony was held on Lee Street in the Historic West End neighborhood.

The development will be one of the first on the Westside Trail of the Atlanta Beltline.

Mayor Kasim Reed joined Monday Night Brewing co-founder Joel Iverson in talking about the company's new location.

Mayor Reed said the new location will boost the Atlanta economy by providing more than two-dozen new full-time jobs.

The city estimates the projected economic impact at more than $43 million.
