Haralson County sheriff, neighbors relieved that 'This drug house, closed for business'
HARALSON COUNTY, Ga. - Haralson County Sheriff Stacy Williams says nine people were arrested, and a drug house has officially been shut down.
The home is located on College Circle, directly across the street from Buchanan Elementary School.
"We had numerous complaints about this drug house," said Sheriff Williams.

Complaints came in about people coming and going all hours of the day and night. Callers said the illegal activity would sometimes spill over onto school property.
"Neighbors and school personnel talked about drug deals in the street, people walking up with backpacks," said Haralson County Sheriff Stacy Williams. "They’re selling drugs in the street."

Sheriff Williams called in the Northwest Georgia Drug Task Force.
"We worked on it a month-and-a-half, made three or four buys from the house, and on Friday, hit the house," said Sheriff Williams.

Another woman who was walking away when law enforcement showed up was also arrested.
"The activity has been suspicious for a while," said resident Matt Cook.
Cook lives next door. He’s also running for mayor of Buchanan. He says he’s relieved law enforcement intervened and arrests were made.
