Hit-and-run driver wanted after unknown woman killed in Bibb County

BIBB COUNTY, Ga. - Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a fatal hit-and-run involving a pedestrian Wednesday night near the Rose’s Shopping Center on Pio Nono Avenue.

The incident was reported around 10:25 p.m. When deputies arrived, they found a woman who had been struck and killed by an unidentified vehicle.

The victim has not yet been identified. Authorities described her as a light-skinned Black female with a short afro hairstyle. She was wearing blue jeans, a gray hoodie, and tie-dye Crocs. A distinctive star tattoo was noted on her left wrist.

The woman’s body will be transported to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy once her identity is confirmed.
