Man killed in shooting at southwest Atlanta apartment complex

A man was killed in a shooting at a southwest Atlanta apartment complex.

The shooting happened around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday at the Sunny Cascade apartment complex. Police told FOX 5 a car pulled up and someone started shooting at a man who was standing on a second floor balcony.

Detectives said the man was killed in the shooting.

The victim, who police said was in his mid 20s, didn't live at the complex. Investigators said he appeared to be the intended target.

Police aren't sure if the victim fired back at the suspects, who fled in a stolen black car that they later ditched.

Police said a number of cars were shot up, as well as the building. Witnesses said as many as 100 rounds were fired.

No other injuries were reported.
