More arrests made in deadly house party shooting
COBB COUNTY, Ga. - Cobb County Police have arrested two more people in connection with a deadly shooting at a house party last month.
Adam Summers, 22, of Dallas, and James Reynal, 19, of Austell, have been charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
On November 25, authorities said 20-year-old Rodeney Koen was shot and killed during a party at a home on Hunter Road in Powder Springs. Family members told FOX 5 he was attending a celebration for a soldier returning home when he was killed.
Koen's cousin, Austin Gunter, said there was a big commotion before the gunfire.
"I saw him get hit, and I ran over there. And about two steps later, I heard shots rang out. I walked up and my cousin was dead on his face," Gunter said.
Loved ones said Koen had plans of going into the military and leaves behind eight brothers and sisters.
Several days after the shooting, police arrested Austin Postell, 19, of Hiram. He was also charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Postell was booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center without bond.
Police said Summers was taken into custody Tuesday without incident. Reynal turned himself in at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, where both suspects are now being held without bond.
