Peachtree Center shooting: Accused shooter offered plea deal by state

The man accused of shooting four people at the Peachtree Center Mall food court in downtown Atlanta in June appeared in court on Tuesday morning.

The incident began when Jeremy Malone got into an argument with a man at the food court. He shot that man and then shot two women before being shot by an off-duty police officer.

According to police, Malone, a convicted felon, was out on bond at the time for another crime and did not know any of his victims.

Before the shooting, Malone reportedly served 15 years for two counts of robbery by intimidation following verdicts in 2007.
