Possible holiday gift item on massive recall list, fire threat

Battery chargers are popular holiday gifts these days, but there is an important warning about one model this year that you need to know. A lithium-ion battery charger recall has been issued by the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The model HTRC C240 is black with two blue screens and was listed on the CPSC recall list on December 12th. The government warns that you should stop using this immediately and return it for a refund. The chargers can catch fire, cause burns, and lead to other injuries. There are more than 34,000 of these chargers out there.

These defective chargers were bought at Amazon, AliExpress, Bang Good, HTRC Direct, and RC Going. The purchase dates range from December 2017 to June 2023. Prices range from $65 to $290.
