Suspect Crashes Following High-Speed Car Chase in Atlanta

ATLANTA - Authorities have made an arrest after a high-speed chase through several Atlanta streets and highways.

We've learned it started as a carjacking in Buckhead on Friday. According to the Atlanta Police Department, a man pulled a box cutter on victim Morgan Watson. She was coming out of Whole Foods on Paces Ferry Road when he approached her. A fight started and Watson tried to fight back. She screamed and the suspect cut her a few times. He eventually overpowered her and took off with her vehicle. 

Watson got minor injuries in the attack. 

A high-speed car chase ensued after police responded to the car-jacking quickly. They chased him down Peachtree Road into Midtown and into downtown Atlanta. Shortly after, the suspect spun out and flipped the stolen vehicle he was driving.

Police said no one was seriously injured.
