Deadly hit-and-run crash: Who killed 16-year-old Isaiah Davidson?

A DeKalb County family wants answers after police say their 16-year-old was hit and killed while walking to the store.

Witnesses told police the driver did not even bother to stop.

"We still won't accept this. We will never get over this," Adolf Davidson said.

It's been an unimaginable week for Adolf and his wife Natasha after their 16-year-old son, Isaiah Davidson, was hit and killed.

Police say the teen was hit around 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 17 near the intersection of Flakes Mill Road and Harvest Drive.

Witnesses told police the driver of the car did not bother to stop.

Isaiah was rushed to the hospital and died the next day.

"It's really devastating that we don't know, and an arrest hasn't been made," Davidson said.

This grieving father says he believes investigators have two solid leads, but he wants more to be done.

He doesn't want the case and evidence to go cold.

"I can't stop thinking about him. I feel like he's still here. I can't believe he's not here. He's just a kid that liked going to the store," Davidson said.

They say Isaiah was a critical part of the family watching his siblings and was set to start a part time job at the nearby grocery store.

"We are a family that we are always together. We are sleeping together holding each other. Crying. A lot of crying. With him not being here. He was my caretaker," Davidson said.

As the search for whoever's responsible continues, this family says they will never be the same.

"I love him, man. I love him. I love my boy and i miss him," Davidson said emotionally.
