Gwinnett Co. Colombian Theft Ring Investigation

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - Gwinnett County authorities are warning those who handle large amounts of cash.

Over the last nine months, investigators said there have been more than two dozen cases involving what they believe to be part of a South American theft ring. Police said these gangs will case banks, and utilize bump-and-rob scenarios.

Police said people must always be vigilant and aware of their surroundings.

Police said these thieves are watching cars, so if you deal with large amounts of money, take it straight to where it needs to go, and never leave it in your car.
