Bond set for man accused of attacking transgender women in Atlanta
ATLANTA - A Fulton County judge has set bond for a man accused of multiple assaults targeting transgender women around the Atlanta area.
Officers arrested 28-year-old Michael Boykin in connection with the violent attacks on Dec. 16 near Ponce de Leon Avenue after receiving a tip about his location.
At the time of his arrest, Boykin was believed to be armed and dangerous, though no firearm was reported at the time of his arrest.
Investigators accuse Boykin of being "associated with multiple assaults on transgender individuals".
The Atlanta Police Department shared video from body camera footage of Boykins' arrest on its Facebook page.

"Mr. Boykin, I've been looking for you," the officer told Boykin while he was being handcuffed.
Boykin was charged with aggravated assault, criminal trespass, battery, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Officials have not said whether he may eventually face hate crime charges.
