Decatur City Schools on lockdown after reports of threats
DECATUR, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - All Decatur City Schools were on lockdown Tuesday after police said threats were made toward several schools in the area.
Tuesday morning, the Decatur Police Department said they received reports of a bomb threat against one school and threats of gun violence made against two other schools.
Police said they have found no evidence of any of the threats as being real dangers.
Officers are on scene at each of the nine Decatur City Schools investigating.
All afterschool activities are canceled for Tuesday. Students will also not be able to be checked out early due to security protocols.
Officers will stay at all of the schools for the remainder of the day.
